Today has been a rough day with the anxiety. This morning a read a chapter of "The Grizzly Maze" by Nick Jans. It was the chapter I was way too tired to read last night. While I was reading it there was a quote in it where he stated that this bear was not afraid of him even though he was surprisingly closer than expected, and said it looked down upon him even with his superiority status. This is not a direct quote but for some reason when Jans said "superiority" it just sent me down a negative spiral, starting with the fact that I do not look at animals like that. To me the reason the bear killed Timothy Treadwell is because of his disrespect, and other humans subjectivity not because it is a savage. Also I did not go into school because I have to take care of this ridiculous parking ticket bullshit. I swear it is one bureaucratic thing after another with this college. Last november I almost couldn't go to college this semester because they said I needed two me...

So the last couple of days have been good but crazy. Saturday I showed up to work fifteen minutes late because of construction at the intersection I get off. When I got into work there was a meeting going on. As it went on though I found out it was because the leads and supervisor were arguing. Eventually one of the leads left in tears and we went on with our day. Later I found out she and the lead got into a fight. Unfortunately after five years of hard work she quit the next day.  Later on that night my sister and I went clubbing with a couple of coworker friends. First we went to their house while they got ready. I was excited to go clubbing because it was my first time. When we got there we met up with their friends. The problem I had with clubbing is not being able to talk to anyone because of how loud the music was, which was to be expected but I don't think I would go back. I may try a different club someday.  Sunday my supervisor and I juiced...

Friday January 27th 2023

Today I got up and read more of The Grizzly Maze, did some more of my Kairos paper, and went to work. After work I had a surprise twist to my day as I took two of my coworkers home and on the way we decided to go back to my place, get my sister, and go over to my one coworkers home and hang out. When I got to her home we went inside and I met her mom who works for the same company we do as well. She has been off work for a long time though due to a tragic family event. She seemed stressed and asked to borrow my car because even though she has her own car, she wasn't able to use it. I let her and it surprised my coworker. In this day of age when we live in such a violent untrustworthy bureaucratic society I feel it is important to try and make other people's lives better and a little bit easier. My coworker was also nice enough to order us a pizza. After, we dropped the other coworker off and went home. I got some of what I wanted to do done. I went for a walk with Gypsy and I ...

Thursday January 26th 2023

Today was a beautiful sunny cold day and I got up after nine in the morning, read more of the Grizzly Maze by Nick Jans, took Gypsy to walk, then drove to school and worked on my major paper in my advanced rhetoric course. I also started writing my paper on the Colorado wolf recovery efforts. I also worked more on my Kerulos course that I am taking. I watched a few meditation videos and videos on being present like the animals are. I found out that I got an A on my true story short writing and in class today we talked more about our major paper and chapter 1 in the textbook. After class, I read up on rhetoric in the next reading our class had to do. I am continuing to do my Kerulos work, I have five hours worth of videos that I have to watch and then I am going to read another chapter of Grizzly Maze since I was too tired to read it yesterday. Not a ton of progress on my script but their will be soon!!! I hope you are doing well and have a blessed day.

Wednesday January 25th 2023

Today I did some homework for my Advanced Rhetoric course I am taking in school and then I had to work. I work as an event specialist selling products for companies by sampling them for customers to try and then buy. I discussed opportunities to move up within the company with my supervisor too. After work I took a friend and coworker home then came home to walk with Gypsy. She is a mixed breed dog who is part of my family and loves to take walks. This past Christmas I got my dad a dog breed testing kit and we recently found out that she is several different breeds including pit bull, poodle, chihuahua, and chow chow. After our walk I came home and worked on some of my Kerulos Learning Institute course work created by Dr. Gay Bradshaw. Bradshaw is a psychologist who studies animals and the effects humans have on their psychology. Bradshaw is also a believer in coexistence and respect for animals, nature, and ourselves. In the videos I listened to today in the nature mindfulness co...

Tuesday January 24th 2023

Today I had a great day. I got up around nine in the morning. I made coffee and sat and drank it. After that I went to Five Guys for lunch, then I came home to get a package. I was excited to open it but I had to get to class so I drove there. Once I got to my school I opened the package in my car. It was a late 1990's "Lasko Whirlwind" pivoting floor fan. It is a little bigger than my "Lasko Breeze Machine" pivoting floor fan; as this one is twelve inches and my other one is ten. I am a fan collector. I started collecting fans when I still lived in Alaska. I now have many types of fans and a Youtube channel where I demonstrate them.      After I opened my fan, I went into purchase a planner and planner stickers. As I waited I could overhear two people behind me, one man and one women, who had just recently started college. As I waited in line I could hear them speaking and it reminded me of how far I have come in college. I am now twenty six years old...

My First Post

I decided to start a blog today. This blog is about my feelings on history pertaining to wildlife, wildlife spirituality and diverse viewpoints regarding wildlife and life in general. I am a student trying to get my English degree and I am on the Autism spectrum. I love wildlife authors/biologists such as Nick Jans, Dr. Benjamin Kilham and Dr. Gay Bradshaw. Dr. Benjamin Kilham has Dyslexia, which made school hard for him and he is now an expert bear researcher. He inspires me because of his learning disability and what he has accomplished. This post is short but I hope this gives a little bit of background on me and plan to give more as I write onward.
